The new Fair Work system – is your business ready?

The Fair Work Act is now fully operational, and from 1 January 2010 businesses need to ensure that they are complying with the new requirements under the Act.

Does the Fair Work Act apply to my business?

In December 2009, the NSW Government referred its industrial relations powers with respect to private sector employers to the Commonwealth, which means that the new Fair Work Act, and the National Employment Standards (NES) will impact all private sector employers in New South Wales in some way from 1 January 2010.

NSW Business Chamber has developed a number of resources, checklists and step by step processes that will help you manage your workplace obligations under the new Fair Work System.
