Auditor Training
Duration: 3 Days
This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out audits of
an organisation’s OHS Management Systems against defined audit standards.
Topics Covered Include
Auditing (including conducting an audit and audit reports), the nature of
management systems, continuous improvement using OHS policies and programs,
roles and responsibilities for effective management of OHS, risk management
Who Should Attend
Internal (1st/2nd party) Auditors, Supervisors, Managers, OHS Representatives,
or nominated staff who will serve as internal auditors and who need to review
the Management System in their organisation’s operations to ensure the system
is under control and being maintained and followed as it has been designed and
implemented.
Learning Outcomes
• List the types of audits undertaken by organisations
• Understand the scope of an OHS audit, the essential components of an audit
on specific aspects of an OHS management system and how to execute this audit
• Identify key areas for evaluation of OHS Management Systems
• Prepare written reports of the audits for presentation to management
• Describe the process of management using systems
• Identify workplace hazards, assess the risk of those hazards and develop
control strategies for the risks
• Identify the major methods used for measurement of OHS performance including
positive performance measures.
Proof of Identity
Proof of identification must be shown to the trainer before the course
commences. Minimum requirements are NSW Drivers Licence or NSW Photo ID less
than two years old, plus a Medicare Card and a current Credit Card.
Award
Participants who demonstrate competency by passing an examination and
positively contributing to group activities will receive a NSCA Statement of
Attendance
