Confined Space Awareness for Managers and Supervisors

Duration: 1 day

Be aware of the risks of working in confined spaces and of the requirements, in accordance with AS 2865-2001 (Safe Working in Confined Spaces), to eliminate or minimise injury.

Who Should Attend

Managers and supervisors/frontline managers who are responsible for and in control of confined spaces.

Learning Outcomes

• Identify key elements in legislation concerning confined spaces

• Describe the hazards and associated risks with working in confined spaces

• Identify potential confined spaces in typical working environments

• Conduct risk assessments an identify appropriate control measures

• Describe the training requirements for safe work in confined spaces

• Describe the elements of an effective confined spaces implementation program

Proof of Identity

Proof of identification must be shown to the trainer before the course commences. Minimum requirements are NSW Drivers Licence or NSW Photo ID less than two years old, plus a Medicare Card and a current Credit Card. 

Award

Participants who successfully complete the course by demonstrating competency during individual and group activities will receive an NSCA Statement of Attendance
