OHS Consultation Committee - Chairperson Workshop

This course provides an introduction to OHS principles and practice, covering NSW OHS legislation.

Topics Covered Include

The OHS Committee and OHS Legislation; employer and employee responsibilities, preparing and chairing effective meetings; guidelines for dealing with people.

Who Should Attend

Both experienced and newly elected OHS committee chairpersons.

Learning Outcomes

• Understanding the requirements for an OHS committee in accordance with legislation

• Identify the roles and responsibilities of a Committee Chairperson

• Prepare for and chair an effective OHS committee meeting

• Identify skills for managing OHS issues

• Evaluate the effectiveness of an OHS Committee meeting.

Proof of Identity

Proof of identification must be shown to the trainer before the course commences. Minimum requirements are NSW Drivers Licence or NSW Photo ID less than two years old, plus a Medicare Card and a current Credit Card. 

Award

Participants who successfully complete the course by demonstrating competency during individual and group activities will receive an NSCA Statement of Attendance
