New legislation is now in effect... are you prepared?
The NSW Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011 came into force in NSW on 1 January 2012 and changed the way health and safety is managed in all workplaces.
Supporting the WHS Act, the WHS Regulations expand on the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act by providing further details on how the Act is to be complied with.
To assist businesses with the changes, NSW Business Chamber is delivering a series of educational seminars on the key changes from the new WHS Regulations. These seminars will give businesses a more detailed understanding of how they can comply with specific obligations under the new model legislation, including first aid, consultation and hazardous work.
The events will cover:
- Summary of key changes for NSW
- Representation and participation
- General risk and workplace management
- Hazardous work.
