Businesses miss out in Federal Budget

Businesses are disappointed that the Federal Budget failed to deliver measures to assist small businesses.
“This was always going to be a difficult budget. The $18 billion deficit reflecting the significant decline in government revenue, softening employment, declining terms of trade and a high Australian dollar,” said Mr Mike Halloran, Interim CEO of the Illawarra Business Chamber.

The Illawarra Business Chamber welcomes the announcement of the successful bidder for the long-term lease of Port Kembla, and look forward to working with the NSW Government, businesses and stakeholders to identify how the $100 million can be best spent in the Illawarra.
Right direction but more work to do for O’Farrell Government
