The NSW Business Chamber conducts regular quarterly surveys on business conditions to support NSW Business Chamber’s interaction with government on behalf of the business community.

The Business Conditions Survey is a survey of NSW businesses on their current and expected performance across a range of indicators including profits, sales, capital spending and employment levels.

Respondents are also asked to rate the performance of the NSW economy and have an opportunity to comment on any other factors affecting the performance of their business.

The survey is conducted quarterly, and is typically sent to around 19,000 members across all regions of NSW and various business sizes.

The Business Conditions Survey is distributed by NSW Business Chamber, Hunter Business Chamber, Illawarra Business Chamber and the Sydney Business Chamber. Response rates and sample sizes vary between regions.
