NSW Business Chamber represents the concerns of business through government lobbying at all levels. We act as the voice of business, lobbying for changes that will make NSW and Australia a more competitive location in which to operate a business.
 

Lobbying for Australian business

We campaign for a better deal for your business by: 

• listening to our members through policy committees, councils, surveys and individual contact
• developing constructive solutions and recommended actions
• lobbying government to drive business reform by:
  • presenting policy submissions and reports to drive the business reform agenda with government and keep you informed of changes in government
  • advocating personally to politicians and departmental officers on behalf of members
  • using the media to lobby governments and educate the broader community about business policy issues
  • running high profile campaigns on big issues like the 10 Big Ideas to Grow NSW campaign
  • being involved at the national level through the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), of which NSW Business Chamber is a founding member.

• Business environment and economics – tax, regulation, government reform, industry policy
• Infrastructure – transport, energy, water, ports, communications and local government 
• OHS – safe workplaces
• Regional Development – boosting regional growth
• Workforce skills – education, training and skills issues
• Sustainability – carbon price, regulation, environment
• Workplace relations: Australian Business Industrial – employment law
• Defence Industry – access to defence procurement opportunities.
