Nigel Ward is respected as one of Australia’s leading industrial advocates and practitioners in employee/industrial relations and is an accomplished executive specialising in the field of IR, HR and WHS.
In the earlier part of his career, Nigel was the lead employer advocate in NSW industrial Test Cases, State Wage Cases and major Award Cases managing the then Employers’ Federation of NSW industrial/legal group. Nigel gained deep experience providing industrial/employment advice and representation to a broad variety of industry sectors; construction materials, building products, sugar, warehousing, transport, financial services, health and related services, bus and coach, mining, rural, funeral, security and others.
Nigel operated his own successful consultancy practice for nine years developing further expertise working with clients through complex bargaining, M&A, major business restructure and workplace cultural change programs. Nigel also developed a leading practice in the engagement and management of sub-contract drivers.
Nigel has further increased his business/ commercial exposure and broaden his capability to HR and OHS as he oversaw over 100 enterprise agreements for a leading ASX-100 industrial company and held responsibility for the HR and WHS for the company’s largest Australian trading division (over $2.5bn revenue and 400 operating sites).
