Everyone has at least one idea for growing our regional communities. That’s why one of our valued members, Western Research Institute, is hosting a Big Ideas workshop on Thursday 26 September in Bathurst.
They want to gather big thinkers, entrepreneurs, business and community leaders to come together for a regional brainstorm. We will be there and think this is a great opportunity for any of our businesses with a big idea. If you would like to attend, please click here for full details
and to register for the Big Ideas workshop!
Proposed changes to the Luxury Car Tax
In the 2019-20 Federal Budget, the government announced it would provide further relief to farmers and tourism operators by amending the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) arrangements.
If you are an eligible primary producer or tourism operator you could be in for a very nice refund. The current eligibility criteria and types of vehicles eligible for the current partial refund will remain unchanged, under the new arrangements.
The proposed changes are outlined below:
Eligible primary producers and tourism operators are entitled to a partial refund of 8/33rds of the total LCT borne on eligible vehicles. This refund is capped at $3,000.
Eligible primary producers and tourism operators will be entitled to a full refund of the total LCT borne on eligible vehicles. This refund is capped at $10,000.
As always, please contact me if you have any issues or concerns on 02 6311 2203 or firstname.lastname@example.org
