Last month was a busy one for NSW Business Chamber on the Central Coast. We celebrated our 2018 Central Coast Business Excellence Awards, proudly sponsored by helloworld Erina.
A big congratulations goes to Australian Reptile Park, who took out the Regional Business of the Year! You can view their story along with other exemplar businesses on the night here.
Over 200 business people attended the October Economic Breakfast, sponsored by the University of Newcastle (UON). The business event showcased the regions’ economic landscape and future business opportunities.
With a State and Federal Election anticipated for 2019, we will be working very closely with members to ensure industry growth, jobs and skills remain at the forefront of policy development.
We also said goodbye to our much loved Daniel Farmer, who is moving on after 10 years as Regional Manager. Daniel was an incredible advocate for the region, passionate about collaboration with strategic economic and community groups and the driving force for the Chamber Alliance program.
A sincere thanks to Daniel for his contribution. I am positive we won’t see the last of him!
Which brings me to a big hello!
I have joined the Central Coast office as Regional Director to join you in our quest to make our region great.
I have a wealth of experience in working with business, growth and compliance, government and industry both domestically and globally, having previously led the multi-award winning, multi-disciplinary consulting division of the Chamber – Australian Business Consulting & Solutions.
I look forward to meeting all of our members in the next few months to hear your views on our regional strengths and challenges. And work with industry and government to advocate for business priorities that matter to our region.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish our State Finalists the best of luck at the annual State Business Awards
on tonight (November 23) at Luna Park Sydney. We have a diverse range of Central Coast finalists this year, and here’s hoping to bringing home the top prize!
Looking toward 2019, our continued priority will be to reduce energy costs for business. To date we have saved an amazing estimated $429,565 across 112 Central Coast businesses and we intend to save more! Find out how much you could save here.
Please keep an eye out for your invitation to the December Twilight Networking
to celebrate with your fellow Chamber members. Sponsored by UON Central Coast, this event will mark the last Twilight Business Networking event for the year as we relax, unwind and celebrate the approach of the festive season.
I look forward to meeting you there.
