Joe Commissio is the proud entrepreneur behind Beloka Water, the Australian made and owned, award-winning water of choice for restaurants, cafes and hotels around the world.

Joe recently accompanied a delegation to Hong Kong with NSW Business Chamber International Trade Manager, Gary Dawes. “Gary does a fantastic job to help Australian businesses engage one-on-one with key players in China,” said Joe.

Gary successfully organised for a small group of Australian entrepreneurs, including Beloka Water, to connect with distributors, gourmet supermarkets and high-end hospitality venues and hotels in the country during the trip.

“Travelling as a group gives legitimacy to businesses when introducing their products, and it provides easy access to Market Briefing with Chinese representatives. This is a cost-effective way to do business instead of going solo and trying to find connections yourself,” adds Gary.

Everything involved in producing Beloka Water is sourced in Australia – from the labels, the caps, the boxes, and of course the water itself. The bottles used are also made in Australia and contain 42% recycled glass, on average.

In 2017, Beloka Water won the ‘Sparkling Added Carbonation’ category at the International Water Tasting Competition in Guangzhou, China. For the third year running, a professional panel of five judges was headlined by internationally renowned water sommeliers.

Beloka Water has been a member of NSW Business Chamber since February 2013 and has joined our Trade Division on numerous road trips and trade shows in China and throughout Asia. We are very pleased to have them on board and wish them continued success in the future.
